Customer got an HTTP error “12057” while trying to add a new place to the Quickr connector. He is using HTTPS with a valid certificate issued by a well-known provider. Problem only occurred on one workstation. All other workstations were fine.

I first thought about that problem, but the settings were ok. After some investigation I solved the problem by unchecking the following option in Internet Explorer:

Tools -> Internet Options -> Advanced -> Security options -> “Check for server certificate revocation”

After unchecking this the connection was ok. The reason for that:

If this setting is active, IE tries to verify via Internet if the SSL certificate is locked. Customer is using an authenticated proxy to connect to the Internet. As the Quickr connector currently does not support authentication with proxiesthe certificate could not be checked and Windows refuses the connection to the server.
